He is the author of the textbook Emergent Field Medicine, and has been published in over 70 publications on the topic of international emergency medicine and humanitarian assistance.

Dr. VanRooyen has served as an emergency physician in over thirty countries, including Rwanda, North Korea, Iraq, Darfur-Sudan, Somalia, Bosnia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has advised as a relief expert for Oxfam, Physicians for Human Rights, Save the Children, and many other non-governmental organizations, and served as policy advisor to UN OCHA and the World Health Organization. He has consulted as a physician with NASA, the US Secret Service, and the US Public Health Service.

John Hanc is the author of eleven books, including The Coolest Race on Earth, an award-winning memoir about his experience running the Antarctic Marathon; and Not Dead Yet, the autobiography of Type-1 diabetic bike racer Phil Southerland. He is a frequent contributor to many publications including Newsday, The New York Times, and Smithsonian. About the Author Stewart L. Tubbs is the dean of the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University. He received his doctorate in communication and organizational behavior from the University of Kansas. His master’s degree in communication and his bachelor’s degree in science are from Bowling Green State University. He has completed postdoctoral work in management at Harvard Business School, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. Dr. Tubbs has also taught at General Motors Institute and at Boise State University, where he was chairman of the Management Department and later associate dean of the College of Business. He has been named Outstanding Teacher three times and Outstanding Scholar twice. He has consulted for Fortune 500 companies and is past chairman of the Organizational Communication division of the Academy of Management. He has been named an Outstanding Teacher three times and an Outstanding Scholar twice, has consulted extensively for Fortune 500 companies, and is past chairman of the Organizational Communication division of the Academy of Management. He has also received the outstanding leadership award in London from the Academy of Business Administration and has been inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame by Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Ohio. Dr. Tubbs is the co-author, with Sylvia Moss, of Interpersonal Communication and Human Communication. He is listed in American Men and Women of Science, Contemporary Authors, Directory of American Scholars, the International Who’s Who in Education, and Outstanding Young Men of America.

This study guide is shockingly badly edited! There are numerous serious, and confusing, errors in numbering of questions and answers. In some cases, the total number of "answers" fails to match up with the number of "questions." In other cases, the order of questions appears to have been changed (perhaps as one of the important changes that made it necessary to publish that new edition) but the answer order was left unchanged, resulting in substantive errors. Any half careful read by the author or editor would have fixed these things.

I ordered this book as a study guide to go along with the book. Like the previously mentioned review, the book was poorly reviewed. Questions and answers clearly don't add up. Disappointing to see. Can't really trust a study guide that doesn't provide accurate information. In one of the first few chapters there 2 math questions followed by a syringe asking to label the correct dosage. You look at the answers and there is a mathematical answer to a multiple choice question A-D. Very dissatisfied

Pros:-Delivery on time.-Sealed nicely.- I like using this book along with the textbook because I feel it will help better prepare me for my upcoming exams.Cons-A few printing errors with the questions and answers when you try to double your work.There are some answers mixed up or not there.

This study guide is a perfect compliment to the actual text. There's a lot of extra questions that gives you a good sense of how you will do on the actual test. This is not a study guide that will replace the actual book or offer anything other than repeating the text. A good thing to note would be to study the chapter BEFORE attempting the questions in this text. Overall, I finished with an A in the class using this study guide.

This book is full of great practice NCLEX style questions reviewing the medications taught in each chapter. It also gives a dosage calculation question for each chapter, as well as a whole section breaking down how to do different dosage calculations and a series of practice question

LOVE THIS! i don’t think i could pass pharm without it! no matter what book you use in class this study guide will be helpful to you. definitely recommend

Saved money and was able to buy the book and not have to rent it because the price was so affordable vs my school bookstore

I know people buying this don't have much choice because it's for school but the way the material is set up isn't user friendly.
